disneyland

^^^ this pretty much sums up the plane flight out to california. it is getting harder and harder for him to sit still in his seat. ^^^

^^^ our attempt at a selfie...we obviously haven't had enough practice! ^^^

^^^ emer loved meeting each character. ^^^

^^^ when we first set emer down in the sand he didn't know what to think. he just stood there not moving at all like he was stuck. ^^^

^^^ once he figured out that the sand was ok he sat there digging and digging and digging. he would have stayed there for hours had we let him! ^^^

back in may of this year, we went on a little family getaway just stephen, emer, and i. we took a short trip out to california so that emer could experience disneyland for the first time. he was already obsessed with mickey mouse clubhouse so we figured he might like seeing the characters in person. i was nervous that he would go crazy in the many lines and that he would just want to run away from us the whole time...he is getting to that age! he did awesome and we had an amazing time in the parks. emer enjoyed most of the rides he went on and thoroughly enjoyed meeting the disney characters. after we did disneyland for a few days we headed over to newport beach to relax near the ocean. we had an amazing trip and will likely be back again when baby #2 is older!
