^^^catering chipotle was the best decision. no stress and many happy guests!^^^
^^^emer was so helpful at opening his presents. he especially loved pulling out the tissue.^^^
^^^when he first received his cake he started picking off the sprinkles. we were all waiting for him to dig in but he was a little unsure.^^^
^^^he finally decided to see what the cake was all about!^^^
^^^no holding back now.^^^
^^^there were so many babies around i think emer was in heaven.^^^
emer's party was a blast and we are thankful for our family and close friends who were able to come out and support our little guy! 1 year...can you believe it?! this past year has been amazing with emer as part of our family. he has taught us so much and has brought such a wonderful spirit into our home. we can't resist his giggles and more recently his little walk.
i loved planning emer's first birthday. stephen decided that we should have a zoo theme, so i stuck with the animal part and went from there. my amazingly talented sister helped me design all of the laser cut wood pieces used at the event. i described what i wanted and she came back with exactly what i had imagined. we were lucky that my dad had access to a laser cutting machine and that he was willing to spend so much time getting everything just perfect. my mom spent a day with me just baking all of the desserts and she helped decorate the treats to perfection (my family is amazing)! i finished everything off with tissue garland, honeycomb balls, photos and table runners. and special thanks to mel for the pictures!
