a blessing day for emer stephen hill

stephen gave emer a beautiful blessing in church on april 14th.

i am so grateful for a wonderful husband and our newest little addition.

emer has been such a sweet blessing in our home and he has already taught us so much.

we are grateful to our Heavenly Father for sending us a beautiful spirit. 

we were happy to have stephen's parents, brother, grandpa, and my sister in town for the blessing.

our good friends james and melanie were also able to make it to the blessing.

it was such a beautiful day to spend with family and friends.

a little celebration...

on tuesday somers finished her last class of college so we celebrated at terra mia's on wednesday.

the food was delicious as always! 

after our late lunch we headed out to miller motorsports park for the WOW event.

stephen took his car around the track a few times and then convinced me to take a turn.

i  had a fun time driving, though i was much slower than stephen.

two days later, stephen and his friend taylor went to the quarter mile drag strip.

courtney and i were nervous that the guys would crash or that something terrible would happen, 

but they both did great and got some good times. 

cars & food

stephen planned a lot of fun activities last week.

first we went to north star drag way and watched some pretty fast cars race.

on saturday, we joined up with the roundy's and went to fogo de chao.

this brazilian restaurant was delicious, but we all came out with our own food babies.

after eating way too much, we went karting. 

we had a blast and it was fun to finally go out with all the adults!  

texas style

we spent the day with the roundy's and had so much fun! 

for lunch we all went out to a texas-style bbq place called hard eight.

they slow cook their meats over open pits to make the meat oh so delicious.

it was a great texas environment...i loved the shotgun shell string lights.

overall, yum yum yum.

pasta

tonight, stephen and i were lucky enough to have somers over to make us some pasta! 

she is such the pro pasta maker ever since her study abroad in italy.

everything tasted so delicious...i just hope i can remember how to make it for the future.

thanks some bum!
