hang out

we got to hang out with justin all day today since the hills are in town for a NAC meeting.
stephen took him to class, ate at legends, and played plenty of video games.
later, we took him out to red robin and then met up with kari at the byu basketball game against dixie state.
we won, but just barely.
after the game, we met up with mitch and julie and played a game of bowling.
we all decided that we played pretty poorly...oh i mean that "the lanes were definitely uneven!" :)
it was a fun day and a good change of pace!

playing catch-up

We have done poorly on blogging this summer, so here is a little bit of a summary so far.

TEXAS
Stephen and I went to Dallas half-way through May to surprise the Neibaur parents.
...and believe me, they were surprised!! :)
Stephen also had a few internship interviews with three of the Big Four Public Accounting Firms.
He got a couple of offers, but we decided to go with PricewaterhouseCoopers starting in January.
We are both excited to be in Dallas next winter!
While Stephen was still in Utah, I made a marshmallow tower for my Mom's seminary class activity.
(Well...I made it after the fact.)
Somehow it kinda resembles this picture of me trying on my wedding dress. :)
We had fun playing with K & B...
...and they had fun playing with Photo Booth.
...apparently, Kinzie did too. :)
Stephen and I also liked going to the different Hotels that the firms put him up in.
We especially liked the W Hotel that has an infinity pool on the 16th floor and it was right next to the American Airlines Center.
We had a great time in Dallas being with Mom, Dad, Kinz, David, and the kids.

LAS VEGAS
On the drive from Utah to California for another one of Stephen's internships we decided to stop in Vegas.
We stayed at the Bellagio and walked around in the night life.

CALIFORNIA
Driving to California was long, but a lot of fun.
We listened to music, had some interesting conversations, and enjoyed the scenery.

CALIFORNIA
For my birthday, Stephen took me to this really good little breakfast place.
We both ate way too much!
Later, Stephen took me shopping, out to dinner, and then to the new Pirates movie.
Thanks Babe!
Our first weekend in California, Justin had a soccer tournament.
We went to all of his games and enjoyed watching him play.
His team ended up winning the tournament.

girl weekend

Stephen went to california this weekend to interview for an internship with The Capital Group.
If he gets the internship, cross your fingers he does, he would be working down in Irvine, CA for the summer.
While Stephen was away, Sarah Solomon came down to Provo to keep me company.
We went to the BYU volleyball game against University of California - San Diego with Somers.
Of course BYU won!
After the game we went out to eat with Kari and then came back to my apartment to watch what would turn out to be the strangest movie ever! yikes....
Sarah stayed the night and hung out for a little before taking off to SLC.
It is still hard to be away from Stephen for any amount of time...thank you Sarah for keeping me company! :)

byu>ucla

so somers is a huge fan of byu volleyball.
i think she likes the game just as much as she likes the cute boys on the team.
this last weekend byu played against ucla and we totally owned them.
we won 6 out of the 7 games we played.
so good and so fun!

Mexican Train

Stephen liked Mexican Train so much that we had to have it for our home. :) We played it on Sunday and it turns out that when you play with just 2 people, the game goes on for forever. We would end up drawing just as many pieces as the number we had started with. Still fun, but I think we will have to invite some people to play with us from now on.
